A scientific seminar was organized under the project - "2nd Seminar on investigations, modeling and optimization of nanocomposite structures (SIMONS'25), which was held on 2.04.2025, from 8:45 to 17:00, in the large conference hall of the Hotel of BAS, working language - English. The seminar was planned and implemented with the financial support of the project KП-06-Н57/3/15.11.21. Totally, 22 scientific abstracts were submitted and presented, including 2 plenary and 4 keynote lectures, and 16 poster reports. The participants are from: Institute of Physical Chemistry, Institute of Solid State Physics, Institute of Electrochemistry and Energy Systems, IIH, Institute of Mathematics and Informatics, Institute of Mechanics, MU-Sofia, MU-Varna, State University “Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov” - Burgas, TU-branch Sliven, SU “St. Kl. Ohridski”, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and TU- Darmstadt. At the seminar, each participant received a copy of the book (monograph) with the results of the project. A working meeting on the project was also held after the seminar.
The team of scientists in the project "Optimal safe loading and geometry for layered nanocomposites under thermo-mechanical loading", implemented by the Institute of Mechanical Engineering-BAS under contract with the Federal Research Fund № КП-06-N57/3/15.11.21, The 2nd Seminar on the Investigations, Modeling and Optimization for Nanocomposites Structures will be held in person, without participation fee, through oral and poster presentations in English, on 02.04.2025, Wednesday, in the large conference hall of the House of the Scientist - BAS, ul. 50 Shipchenski Prohod, Sofia. Working language of the Seminar - English. In the scope of the Seminar are the following three main areas:
- Nanocomposites - experimental (Nanocomposites synthesis, structure, properties and applications)
- Nanocomposites - modelling (Theoretical modelling/simulation of nanocomposites behaviour and properties)
- Nanocomposites - optimization (Applications of Nanocomposites in Chemical engineering and Material Sciences)
The Seminar programme includes 2 plenary lectures, oral presentations and a poster session for young scientists, undergraduate and postgraduate students. Scientific communications presented at the Workshop in full text may be submitted to the journal Bulgarian Chemical Communications (http://www.bcc.bas.bg , Scopus indexed), peer-reviewed and, if approved, published (optional). The abstracts of the submitted scientific communications and the Workshop programme will be made available to the Workshop participants on electronic media (flash drive).
We look forward to receiving your participation requests and abstracts at the contact e-mail addresses by March 1, 2025!
